Prof. Sanjeevikumar (Member’12, Senior Member'15, IEEE), Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (FIETE'18, India), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE'18, India), Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (FIET'19, UK) and Chartered Engineer certified by the Institution of Engineers India (CEng.). He obtained his Bachelor's degree with First Class Honors, Master's degree with Distinction, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras, Pondicherry University (India) in 2002 and 2004 respectively; as well as from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2012. His research work primarily focuses on Power Electronics and Drives encompassing Multi-phase Machines, Multilevel & DC-DC Converters along with applications related to renewable power generation systems. He has authored over 250 scientific research papers and has been awarded the Best Paper Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON’13, IET-CEAT’16, as well as five best paper awards from ETAEERE’16 sponsored Lecture note in Electrical Engineering, Springer book series. He serves as an Editorial Board Member / Associate Editor of IEEE Systems Journal, IET Power Electronics Journal, subject editor of IET Renewable Power Generation Journal, subject editor of IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution Journal, IEEE Access Journal, Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Journal of Power Electronics (JPE-Korea), FACETS Journal (Canada). Additionally, he has been invited to participate in various capacities on the committee for more than 4500 international conferences including those organized by IEEE and IET.

Assoc. Prof. Zafar Said, University of Sharjah

Zafar Said is currently working as an Assistant Professor with the University of Sharjah. He also serves as the coordinator of the Functional nanomaterials’ synthesis lab. Dr. Zafar completed his Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Hons.), University Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the iSmart group in the Department of Engineering Systems and Management, Masdar Institute, U.A.E. He also worked with industrial collaborative projects which were confidential with Masdar Institute.  He works in the field of Renewable Energy, Energy and Exergy Analysis, Solar Energy (Solar Collectors, Energy Efficiency, Efficiency Improvement), Heat Transfer (Heat Transfer, Cooling, and Heating), and Nanofluids (Thermophysical properties, optical properties, Application of nanofluids). He has published over 110 papers, including one in Progress in Energy and Combustion (IF: 29.34), One in Physics Reports (IF: 25.6), 4 in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews (IF: 14.98), 2 books/book chapters, 18 conference papers), with about 3636 citations and an H-index of 34. He is also ranked in World's Top 2% Scientists 2020 (by Stanford University) in the field of Energy. He secured more than 2 million AED in research grants. He was honored with several prestigious awards, including Sharjah Islamic Bank Award for Distinguished Researchers (2017-2018), Faculty Annual Incentive Research Award for 2018-2019. Dr. Zafar is also serving as the Editorial Board Member for several ISI Journals, and he is also severing a guest editor for several special issues.  Moreover, he is a reviewer in more than 20 Journals with a total of 280 reviews.
